Fitness Coach Liky Rosenberg Defends Decision Not to Breastfeed

Fitness coach Liky Rosenberg Michaeli, who recently gave birth to her third child at age 41, has faced backlash online for her decision not to breastfeed. Rosenberg Michaeli shared her choice to use medication to dry up her milk supply shortly after her C-section, a decision that sparked criticism from some social media users.

Responding to the criticism in an Instagram video, Rosenberg Michaeli stated that she was not surprised by the negative reactions. She explained that her posts about not breastfeeding are intended for other women who may be struggling with the decision or feeling pressured to nurse. "You are not my target audience. My target audience is the girls who send me 'Liky, thank you, you don't understand how much I suffered and I only did it because everyone asked me why I wasn't breastfeeding.' That's my target audience," she said.

Rosenberg Michaeli revealed that her first pregnancy was negatively impacted by the pressure to breastfeed, leading her to bring milk-drying pills to the hospital for her second child's birth. She emphasized that her children are healthy and thriving, and that her decision is personal. "I'm not breastfeeding for myself, because I don't want to," she stated.

She further questioned the critics' involvement, asking, "What do you care? Is it your breast? Your child? I don't want to. Let go, let everyone do what they want." Rosenberg Michaeli asserted that she is sharing her experience to support others who choose not to breastfeed, encouraging women to make the choices that are best for them without judgment.
