A Lebanese journalist known for his anti-Hezbollah views, Rami Naim, sharply criticized Hezbollah’s deputy secretary general, Naim Qassem, in a video circulating on social media. He also attacked media outlets for giving Qassem airtime, saying they should not platform him.
Naim made an unexpected comparison, arguing that the Israel Defense Forces Arabic spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, is more compassionate toward Lebanon than senior Hezbollah figures. He said the IDF warns civilians before strikes, while Hezbollah endangers Lebanese residents without any warning.
In the video, Naim asked angrily, “How do you give a terrorist like Naim Qassem a platform?” He added, “He is a terrorist in every sense. He must not be broadcast, and Lebanese people must not hear this madman.” The remarks reflect unusually intense internal criticism of Hezbollah inside Lebanon.
