Judges Rebuke Netanyahu's Defense Team Over Witness Preparation
The judges presiding over Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's corruption trial in the Jerusalem District Court reprimanded his defense team on Tuesday for failing to properly prepare witnesses. The court demanded explanations regarding the absence of prepared testimony from Knesset member Eitan Cabel, who is currently serving in the reserves. Judge Oded Shacham stated, "It is impossible to conduct a trial like this."
Judge Rivka Friedman-Feldman criticized the defense's one-week notice period for witnesses as insufficient, especially when a substitute witness is needed. She added, "Now we are hearing that perhaps the dates you set for Mandeblit are also not suitable for him," referring to the scheduling of testimony from the former Attorney General.
