Father Dies on Holiday Eve, Leaving Behind Young Son and Wife

A father, Rabbi Yaakov, who waited 16 years with his wife to have a child, died suddenly on the eve of Rosh Hashanah, leaving his nine-year-old son an orphan. The couple cherished their only son for nine years, during which Rabbi Yaakov was deeply involved in his son's life, supporting him through complex challenges he was born with.

Rabbi Yaakov collapsed before his wife and son on Rosh Hashanah eve. Despite doctors' efforts and use of an ECMO machine, his heart stopped on the first night of the holiday at 11:45 PM. He was 48 years old.

The family, who had longed for a child for 16 years, now faces immense hardship. With Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur passed, the Sukkot holiday approaches, highlighting the absence of the family's primary breadwinner and emotional anchor. The widow and son are left without financial support, facing significant expenses, particularly due to the child's special needs.

An appeal has been launched for public donations to help the widow maintain their home and provide the necessary support for the child, emphasizing that the family should not face this holiday season alone.
