West Bank Sees Settler Violence, Military Orders, and Eviction Notice for 18-Story Building

Settlers intensified attacks against Palestinians and their property across the occupied West Bank on Tuesday, coinciding with Israeli military actions targeting Palestinian land and homes. In the Ramallah governorate, over 200 settlers, protected by Israeli forces, attacked the outskirts of Al-Mazra'a Al-Sharqiya early Tuesday, damaging at least four vehicles and two homes before residents repelled them. In the nearby town of Silwad, settlers, also under military escort, stole livestock from three residents and vandalized homes, but were forced to withdraw by locals. Settler violence throughout the West Bank has included attacks on individuals, property destruction, and the uprooting of olive trees.

Meanwhile, Israeli authorities issued two military orders in the Jenin governorate to remove olive trees and plants from approximately 307 dunams (about 76 acres) of Palestinian land. One order targets land near the settlement of Kadim, and the second affects land near the Ganim military camp. These orders come amid increased Israeli military activity in the region.

In Salfit, Israeli forces issued an eviction notice to residents of an 18-story apartment building containing around 80 units, signaling a potential demolition. Local sources reported the notice was served as military vehicles entered the city. The building's owner stated the notice was not in the official legal format preceding demolition and that responsibility for the building had been transferred. Residents, including a family previously displaced by settler attacks, expressed fear of further displacement if the demolition proceeds. These events occurred amidst heightened Israeli military measures in Salfit, including the closure of city and village entrances, contributing to rising tensions.
