Widow Mourns Husband Murdered in Terror Attack Near Neve Tzuf

Meirav Shkaron eulogized her husband, Natanel Shkaron, who was killed in a terror attack near the settlement of Neve Tzuf on the eve of Yom Kippur. Speaking at his funeral, she described him as a devoted family man, emphasizing his deep respect for his parents and his commitment to honoring her parents as well after his own passed away.

She recounted the events leading up to the attack, explaining that Natanel had convinced their children to join her in visiting her parents to wish them a "final sealing" before the holiday. He told her he would follow after immersing himself in a ritual bath and attending afternoon prayers, intending to finish cooking before the family left together.

Meirav also spoke of Natanel's final moments, expressing gratitude for his heroism in warning Yoav in the last second. She highlighted his active involvement in their children's lives and his meticulous planning for an upcoming family trip abroad, which he intended as an opportunity for bonding. "The family was his whole world. He wanted to connect everyone, to protect the family," she stated.

She concluded by remembering him as a quiet, modest, wise, and considerate person, a man of kindness and simple integrity. "Slowly, I am beginning to understand what a hero he was," she said, vowing to do her best to protect their family in his absence.
