Son Recites First Kaddish for Father Murdered Near Settlement

Yoav, the elder son of Natanel Shkaron, who was killed in a Palestinian shooting attack, recited the first Kaddish prayer at his father's funeral. Yoav was with his father at the time of the attack. Hundreds gathered at the cemetery in the settlement of Ali Zahav to mourn Natanel Shkaron, who was murdered hours before Yom Kippur at the Ein Ri'ay spring in the Benjamin region.

The funeral procession began in the settlement's Ganinim neighborhood and proceeded to the cemetery, where Yoav, visibly distraught and weeping, recited the Kaddish. Natanel Shkaron, a high-tech professional working as an information systems analyst for "Hachshara Insurance Company," is survived by his wife Mirav and their six children. The eldest son is an 11th-grade student who accompanied his father to the spring, and the youngest is four years old. The family gathered around Natanel's grave, embracing each other during the traditional tearing of garments ritual.
