Supreme Court Bans Vote Tally Sharing to Protect Election Integrity

The Supreme Court has issued a significant ruling prohibiting party representatives at polling stations from transmitting information about who has voted to their respective parties. The Movement for Governance Integrity, which filed the petition leading to this decision, welcomed the ruling, emphasizing its importance in safeguarding voter privacy and the fairness of the electoral process.

Dr. Tal Alovich, a political science professor and public policy researcher specializing in Knesset affairs, commented on the decision, calling it a crucial step in protecting voters' privacy and the integrity of elections. He stated this during a phone interview on the "First News" program on Radio Al-Shams.

The Movement for Governance Integrity argued that information accessed by party representatives within polling stations should not be used to monitor citizens or exert pressure on them. The group affirmed that the ruling protects voter privacy and their right to vote freely, pledging to continue working towards maintaining election integrity and ensuring free and fair elections.
