Stone-Throwing Attack in Jerusalem's City of David Amid West Bank Shooting

On Sunday, a group of Arabs hurled stones at Jewish individuals in Jerusalem's City of David. One of the targeted Jews, who was armed, fired into the air, causing the attackers to flee the scene. No injuries were reported in this incident.

This stone-throwing attack occurred concurrently with a fatal shooting incident near Neve Tzuf in the Benjamin region of the West Bank. A man, approximately 30 years old, was critically wounded by gunfire near the Ein Ri'el spring and was evacuated while receiving resuscitation efforts. He was in a life-threatening condition.

Initial reports indicate the shooter arrived at the spring by car, exited with a long firearm, and opened fire on the man present. The assailant then fled the scene on foot. Security forces are concerned the suspect remains armed and poses a significant threat.

In response to the shooting, a large contingent of Israeli military forces, including units from the Benjamin Brigade, the Duvdevan Unit, reinforcement companies, and Israeli police, were deployed. Extensive roadblocks were established in the area, and comprehensive ground searches for the suspect are underway, utilizing drones and aerial assets from the Air Force.
