ZAKA Volunteers Hold Solemn Prayers at Nova Festival Site on Yom Kippur Eve

On the eve of Yom Kippur, hundreds of ZAKA volunteers gathered at the site of the Nova music festival, the scene of a horrific massacre on October 7th. The volunteers, who worked tirelessly at the site in the aftermath of the attack, returned to the location to recite Selichot prayers, seeking solace and remembrance for the victims.

Accompanied by singer Chaim Israel, who led the prayers, the volunteers stood wrapped in prayer shawls at the Re'im gathering area, the same site as the Nova party. This location has become a symbol of deep pain and shared fate. The volunteers, who had previously dealt with the most difficult scenes at the site, were overcome with emotion, tears, and longing.

The event, described as a symbol of Jewish strength, unity, and hope, saw prayers offered for the souls of the murdered. Amidst the difficult memories and tears, the volunteers also prayed for forgiveness, healing, and deep comfort for the entire nation, expressing hope for a year of peace and good tidings.
