Maccabi Tel Aviv Leads Israeli Football League After Fifth Round Matches

The fifth round of the Israeli Premier League has concluded, with Maccabi Tel Aviv maintaining their perfect record and leading the standings. They are followed by Maccabi Haifa, who are three points behind, and Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Be'er Sheva, each five points adrift.

Maccabi Petah Tikva lost 2-4 at home to Hapoel Jerusalem, with 20-year-old Nadim Warsana scoring a hat-trick for the visitors, securing their second win and sixth place in the league. Bnei Sakhnin achieved their first victory by defeating Hapoel Ramat Gan 1-0, thanks to a 61st-minute goal from Liron Ovusu, who recently joined from Odense.

Maccabi Haifa narrowly defeated Ironi Tiberias 3-2. Ironi Tiberias had led in the 63rd minute, with Kais Ganem scoring twice for them.
