Hapoel Be'er Sheva Optimistic About Championship Hopes After Recent Wins

Hapoel Be'er Sheva concluded their pre-international break schedule with a 1-0 home victory over Ironi Kiryat Shmona on Saturday. This win capped a successful six-day period that also included a 2-0 league win against Hapoel Petah Tikva and their first point in the Europa League following a 0-0 draw with Dinamo Zagreb. The club is hopeful that all players who missed Saturday's match will be fit for their next game on October 10th against Ironi Tiberias.

Key players currently sidelined include Lucas Ventura with a hamstring strain, Itay Rotman with a knee injury, Joao Victor who was rested due to physiological data, and Jibril Diop and Amit Ouhana who were ill. Amir Ganah was the standout performer in Saturday's win, scoring a spectacular individual goal, bringing his league tally to two goals, in addition to a goal scored during the Champions League qualifiers. Despite not being called up to the youth national team by coach Guy Luzon, Be'er Sheva coach Ronny Kozuch has high expectations for Ganah, stating he needs to become the team's leader in goals, assists, and overall personality.

Kozuch also addressed the loan of local talent Itay Hazut to MS Ashdod of the National League. Kozuch explained that Hazut requested the move, and he doesn't hold players against their will, believing the playing time will benefit the young player. "If it were up to me, Itay Hazut would have stayed at Hapoel Be'er Sheva," Kozuch stated.

Defender Idan Nachmias, who joined the club from Ludogorets after the first matchday, expressed his satisfaction with his integration. He praised the team's reception and his desire to work with coach Ronny Levy. Nachmias, who previously followed Be'er Sheva while playing abroad, is confident about the team's title aspirations, noting there are still 30 games left in the season and "we can fight for the title."
