Novakovic Shines as Maccabi Haifa Secures Another League Victory

Maccabi Haifa continued their strong start to the league season with a 3-2 win over Ironi Tiberias. The team heads into the international break in second place, having secured 80% of possible points in the first five matches, with their only loss coming against league leaders Maccabi Tel Aviv. The club expressed satisfaction with the team's point accumulation and offensive improvement.

Andrea Novakovic was the standout player in the victory, scoring twice and earning a penalty. The forward, who joined on a free transfer after a period of low scoring, is proving to be a valuable acquisition. "Many eyebrows were raised when we brought in a player on a free transfer, and one who hadn't scored much in recent years, but we knew what we had," a club source stated. "He is a better scorer than Frantzdy Pierrot and will help us a lot. We knew exactly why we brought him in."
