Gaza Strike Kills Two, Injures Four in Sheikh Radwan Neighborhood

Palestinian reports indicate that a vehicle was struck from the air on Saturday afternoon in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of western Gaza City, resulting in at least two fatalities and four injuries. This incident follows a series of targeted killings by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip.

On Tuesday, Na'al Abu Abid, the commander of Hamas's Rafah Brigade, was eliminated in southern Gaza. Abu Abid had replaced Muhammad Shehadeh in the role last year, who was himself killed along with Muhammad Sinwar. A joint statement from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz asserted, "Our message is clear: no terrorist is immune and Hamas will not be in Gaza. We are strengthening the IDF and Shin Bet, who are acting decisively to remove threats and protect the citizens of Israel."

The IDF and Shin Bet confirmed their involvement, stating that Abu Abid was appointed after Shehadeh's elimination. He had previously held various positions within the brigade, including deputy commander of the Rafah Brigade and commander of the Tal Sultan and Yibna battalions. The security forces described Abu Abid as a central figure in Hamas leadership, responsible for managing the brigade's operatives and directing terror activities against Israeli forces and civilians. His efforts also aimed to rebuild the brigade's capabilities, which had been severely impacted during the war.

Earlier on Saturday, the IDF confirmed the elimination of Rafa'a Abu Zamr, a company commander in the operations headquarters of Hamas's military wing, in Khan Younis. Additionally, Muhammad Khader Fahmi Agour, an operative in Hamas's military wing, was killed in another strike in Gaza City. The IDF stated that Abu Zamr had trained Hamas operatives in preparation for the October 7th massacre and continued to develop the organization's combat capabilities.
