Body of Missing Woman Found in East Jerusalem; Suspect Arrested

Israeli police announced the arrest of a suspect in his sixties, a resident of East Jerusalem, in connection with the disappearance of Fatima Al-Rajabi in recent days. According to a police spokesperson, the arrest followed a week of intensive investigation. Following the suspect's apprehension, forces continued their search and investigation efforts, ultimately discovering a woman's body within the city.

The body was transferred to the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute for identification and to determine the circumstances of death. Police stated the suspect is being investigated on suspicion of murder and is scheduled to appear before the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court, where authorities will request an extension of his detention for further investigation.

The family of Fatima Al-Rajabi has called for an expanded investigation and accountability for those responsible. They urged restraint and adherence to the law, demanding that authorities intensify the investigation into the suspect and take legal action to uncover all details of the case. The family also appealed to members of the Al-Rajabi and Al-Rifai families to remain calm and not engage in actions that could lead to chaos, emphasizing that justice is a right, but vengeance and disorder are not the way to achieve it.
