Mekorot and Local Councils Discuss Infrastructure Development

Mekorot, the national water company, held a productive meeting with the new leadership of the local council in Mashhad to discuss the development of water and sewage infrastructure. The meeting, which took place at Mekorot's offices in Kafr Kanna, was attended by Mashhad Council Chairman Tawfiq Suleiman and other senior officials, alongside Mekorot's Director General Salah Nassar and members of the union's board. The discussion provided a comprehensive overview of Mekorot's operations and future plans, focusing on enhancing water and sewage services in Mashhad. Mekorot presented its extensive investment plan for infrastructure upgrades, including ongoing and planned projects designed to meet the town's needs and improve future service readiness.

Key local issues addressed included a new pumping station, for which Mekorot announced an upcoming tender. Updates were also provided on infrastructure development in the industrial zone, neighborhood number 5, street 24, and the eastern neighborhood. Administrative and organizational matters relevant to both Mekorot and the council were also discussed.

The meeting underscored the importance of maintaining direct communication channels between Mekorot and local authorities. This ongoing dialogue aims to facilitate regular project monitoring, identify needs, and expedite the resolution of shared issues, all contributing to infrastructure improvement and enhanced public services.
