Police Officer and Son Detained in Haifa Assault Case
A Haifa Magistrate's Court has extended the arrest of a 43-year-old police investigator from Lahav 433 and his son. The officer's detention was extended by three days, while his son's was extended by five days. Both are suspected of involvement in an assault and stabbing of their neighbor during a dispute between the two families on HaShalom Street in the Hadar HaCarmel neighborhood yesterday. The neighbor sustained serious injuries and is currently hospitalized at Rambam Health Care Campus in Haifa. The police officer faces charges including causing severe bodily harm, assault causing injury, and aggravated assault.
