Player Refuses Handshake With Coach After Early Substitution
Hapoel Tel Aviv took an early 2-0 lead against Hapoel Petah Tikva on Friday, with goals from Emmanuel Boateng and Chico within the first 17 minutes. The opposing coach, Omer Peretz, reacted to the deficit by making two substitutions in the 24th minute. Diego Arroyo and Avishai Cohen were replaced by Roei Israelov and Or Israelov, with the latter making his debut. Arroyo, a Bolivian defender, was visibly unhappy with being substituted. Instead of heading to the bench, Arroyo walked directly off the field and into the locker room, refusing to shake hands with coach Peretz.
