Merav Ben Ari Says She Will Not Apologize After Heated Studio Clash

Knesset member Merav Ben Ari said she was involved in a heated exchange on Saturday night at Channel 13 studios, before a discussion with Barak and Shay Golden. According to Ben Ari, the channel decided to bring in Eli Dallal, and shortly before the on-air switch, Barak shouted at her to apologize to him because he is an older and respected man.

Ben Ari said she had heard many foolish things in her life, and called this one of the most outrageous. She also accused Barak of speaking with a vulgar mouth and preaching at her, but said the real issue was the demand that she apologize.

In her post, Ben Ari rejected apologizing to Dallal, whom she accused of abandoning his principles for Benjamin Netanyahu. She said Dallal promoted Yosef Elron and then withdrew at the last minute from the plenum only because Netanyahu told him to do so. Ben Ari added that if anyone should apologize, it is Dallal, starting with former Supreme Court justice Yosef Elron.
