Illegal Resident's Detention Extended in Fatal Bicycle Collision
A Tel Aviv court extended the detention of Noor Gabar, a 24-year-old illegal resident from the village of Salem, for six days. Gabar is suspected of fatally hitting a cyclist with a stolen car near the Tzuk Beach area in Tel Aviv on Tuesday. Authorities allege Gabar stole a vehicle in Tel Aviv and fled from police. During the pursuit, the car reportedly overturned in a sandy area, striking a 56-year-old cyclist from Ramat Hasharon. The cyclist sustained critical injuries and died shortly after the incident. Gabar is also suspected of negligent homicide. While Gabar admits to driving the vehicle and its subsequent overturning, he denies hitting the cyclist during his interrogation.
