Netanyahu Credits Timely Strike on Iran for Israel's Existence

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that a timely strike against Iran was crucial for the very existence of the State of Israel. Speaking at a conference launching the Likud party's official election list, Netanyahu emphasized that his role is subject to democratic processes, asserting, "I am not the messiah, and I am not a king. A king does not need to be elected. I need to be elected."

He highlighted the importance of strengthening Israel's international standing and engaging with key partners, particularly the United States. Netanyahu stressed the need to effectively communicate with American audiences and media to maintain and enhance cooperation. "We have many friends and many supporters, and we must know how to influence them. We must know how to speak with them, speak with them in the American media, speak with them through all platforms," he said.

The prime minister dedicated a significant portion of his speech to the Iranian threat, asserting that military action against Tehran averted a catastrophic scenario. "If we had not acted in time to attack Iran, we would not be meeting here today, because there might not have been a State of Israel," Netanyahu declared. He identified the primary strategic objective of his leadership as achieving radical change within the Islamic Republic, stating, "First of all, we must overthrow the Iranian regime. This is my mission, and this is our main mission."

Netanyahu likened past intelligence operations to medical interventions, noting the successes of Israeli defense. "We removed a tumor, and we are alive. This does not mean there will not be other tumors to deal with," he concluded.
