Maccabi Tel Aviv secured their second Social Super Cup title on Thursday, winning a prestigious derby match. However, three key players, Ousmane Dieng, Jalen Adams, and Daniel Theis, were sidelined due to injuries and did not participate in the game. Dieng sustained a blow to his knee during a preparation match against Aris Thessaloniki. Theis is dealing with a minor ankle injury from a recent national team game with Germany, resulting from a head-on collision with an opponent. Adams is recovering from a hamstring tear that occurred during a training camp in Israel after slipping. The club is working diligently to ensure all three players are fully fit for the upcoming EuroLeague season opener against ASVEL Villeurbanne next week. Medical and coaching staff opted not to risk the players' health in the derby. All three players have resumed full training and are expected to be available for the next game. The team is scheduled to travel to France on Wednesday for their first European league game of the season against Villeurbanne.
