Likud Slams High Court Ruling on Election App as Political Attack

The Likud party has strongly criticized a Supreme Court decision that prohibits the real-time transfer of voter data from polling stations and the use of the "Elector" application during elections. The party labeled the ruling a "danger to democracy" and a "deliberate political blow" to the right-wing's ability to mobilize its voters.

Likud specifically targeted Supreme Court Justice Noam Sohlberg, who chairs the Election Committee, for his decision. The party accused Sohlberg of changing the rules mid-game, despite his own stated principle against such actions. They asserted that Sohlberg is acting as a "political player" aiming to harm the right-wing bloc just a month before the elections.

The party further alleged that the court's actions are motivated by the upcoming need for the next government to appoint ten Supreme Court justices. According to Likud, the court is attempting to prevent a right-wing government from taking power by interfering in the election process.
