Billionaire Alan Howard Attends Hapoel Tel Aviv Basketball Game for First Time
British Jewish billionaire Alan Howard was seen at his first Hapoel Tel Aviv basketball game on Thursday evening. Howard attended the Social Super Cup match against rivals Maccabi Tel Aviv, marking his initial public appearance at a game since his investment in the club.
Howard, 61, is a co-founder of the hedge fund Brevan Howard and is estimated to be worth nearly $4 billion, placing him among the world's wealthiest individuals. He holds a 20% stake in Yanai Sport, the company that owns approximately 81% of Hapoel Tel Aviv.
The remaining shares of the club are held by the Hapoel Ossishkin association. Also present at the game were Howard's fellow investors: Ofer Yanai, who owns 40% of the club's shares, along with Miki Malka and Gili Re'anan, each holding 20%. The team was also showcasing its new roster for the 2026/27 season.
