Justice Minister Levin Accuses Supreme Court of Political Interference in Elections

Israeli Justice Minister Yariv Levin has sharply criticized Supreme Court justices, alleging they are acting with political motives to influence election outcomes and obstruct the government's judicial reform agenda. Levin stated that the upcoming elections will determine who shapes the court's character in the coming years, framing it as a choice between his potential role in a Netanyahu government appointing judges versus a justice minister in a potential government led by Yair Golan, Abbas, or Tibi.

He further claimed the court is acting unprecedentedly to harm the right-wing bloc. "In a desperate move, they are changing the rules of the game mid-game, contrary to all their previous rulings in other cases," Levin asserted. He accused the court of damaging election integrity and inventing new, never-before-seen rules to suppress votes and attempt to regain control of the country.

Concluding his remarks, Levin called for full voter mobilization, urging supporters not to let the court succeed. "The right will come out in droves. We will vote and win. We will complete the reform and end the takeover by a handful of judges over our lives," he declared.
