According to sources familiar with the matter, Netanyahu intends to meet with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio prior to his UN speech, though details of this meeting have not been finalized.

Netanyahu is scheduled to depart for New York for the UN General Assembly later this week, with his address set for Thursday. He is expected to return to Israel before the Sukkot holiday, which begins the following day.

This trip follows a period where Netanyahu had considered skipping the UN General Assembly, reportedly changing his mind due to the opportunity to aid his election campaign. In July, Netanyahu traveled to Washington D.C. at the invitation of then-President Donald Trump for discussions that included Iran and expanding peace agreements. He also attended the funeral of Senator Lindsey Graham during that visit.
