Israeli pop singer Odia Azulai, known for hits like "Papi" and "Shopping List," will begin auditing a neuroscience course at Bar-Ilan University this upcoming semester. The singer, 25, has enrolled as a "free listener" in the course "Chapters in Neuroscience," a program that allows individuals to attend academic courses for enrichment without formal admission or academic requirements.

Azulai's enrollment comes after a period of public attention, including her role as the official spokesperson for the fashion brand "Adika." At Azulai's request, and citing her ongoing religious strengthening, Adika's e-commerce site was closed on Saturdays. This decision sparked controversy among some customers who criticized the brand's alignment with religious observance and alleged that ticket sales websites for Azulai's concerts allowed sales on the Sabbath.

Meanwhile, Azulai's latest song, "Papi," has become a major radio hit. Many fans speculate the song is dedicated to her recent breakup with partner Roai Adam, brother of singer Omer Adam. The couple announced their separation in May 2026.
