60-Year-Old E-Scooter Rider Critically Injured in Ashkelon Collision
A 60-year-old man riding an electric bicycle was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Ashkelon on Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred at the intersection of David Ben-Gurion Boulevard and Nachal Street.
Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency services received the report of the accident at approximately 3:48 PM. Paramedics and EMTs arrived at the scene to find the cyclist lying beside the road, conscious but suffering from severe, multi-system injuries.
They provided immediate life-saving medical treatment before transporting him to Barzilai Hospital via a mobile intensive care unit. The cyclist remains in serious condition.
MDA paramedics Afek Zerbib and Ben Zion Tetro, along with EMT Alexander Tablin, described finding the rider conscious with significant bodily trauma and stated they administered critical care before his evacuation to the hospital.
