Health Ministry Shuts Down Pools at Ancient Katzrin Park Over Safety Concerns
The Ministry of Health issued an administrative order on Thursday to close the swimming pools at the Ancient Katzrin Park due to severe sanitary, maintenance, and technological deficiencies. The ministry stated that the condition of the four pools does not meet legal requirements, citing serious violations.
According to the order, the pools were operating without a proper business license and exhibited significant defects, posing a "real danger or significant concern for harm to public health." The order mandates the immediate cessation of all activities in the four swimming pools.
Despite the closure, the Ministry of Health clarified that if the identified deficiencies are rectified, the park can submit a written notification of the repairs. The ministry will then review the situation and consider revoking the closure order, contingent upon a follow-up inspection of the main pool and the toddler pool.
