Gantz Tells Opposition Bloc They Lack a Government, Proposes Broad Coalition

Amid internal conflicts within the "change bloc" opposition, Benny Gantz's National Unity party is presenting an alternative political strategy, criticizing reliance on Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) and Arab parties. The party stated, "Neither Netanyahu has a government, nor does the change bloc have one. It is impossible to continue running a country based on 'Yes Bibi' or 'No Bibi'."

Blue and White is attempting to break the political polarization ahead of elections by pushing for cross-faction cooperation. As internal disputes among the leaders of the change bloc intensify, the party sees an opportunity to lead a move to break traditional bloc divisions. The party, headed by Benny Gantz, called on all political players on Thursday to cease mutual accusations and urged the formation of a broad, cross-faction government not dependent on the votes of Haredi or Arab parties.

A sharp statement released by Blue and White criticized both sides of the political spectrum, declaring, "It's time to stop lying to the public, neither the change bloc has a government, nor does Bibi have a government. There is no legitimacy for a minority government relying on Arab or Haredi parties. It is impossible to continue running the country in the name of 'Bibi' or 'Only Not Bibi'. It's time to break out of the blocs and connect with each other. The only solution is a broad government, crossing blocs."
