Bnei Sakhnin announced on Saturday that it has signed midfielder Norberto Carlos, 27, for the coming season. Carlos played last season for Cypriot club Akritas Chlorakas and previously was part of the Angola national team setup.
The club described him as an experienced player with a strong physical presence and good midfield ability. Sakhnin said, “We wish Carlos great success in Bnei Sakhnin colors, and hope he will contribute from his experience and ability to achieving the club’s goals in the coming season.”
Earlier in the day, the club also confirmed a major leadership change. Khaled Duchi, who served for many years as the club’s CEO, will become chairman after Mohammed Abu Younis decided to leave the role after 15 years.
In its statement, the club said the move followed “an in-depth, professional and responsible discussion” aimed at ensuring continuity and the club’s future, adding that Duchi will lead the club and continue working to advance, strengthen and succeed in all areas.
