Bnei Sakhnin announced on Saturday that it has signed 27-year-old midfielder Norberto Carlos for next season. Carlos spent the past campaign with Cypriot side Akritas Chlorakas and has previously been included in Angola's national team squad. The club described him as an experienced player with a strong physical presence and good ability in central midfield.
In its statement, Sakhnin said it hopes Carlos will help the team reach its goals in the coming season. The club added, in a message addressed to him, that it wishes him “great success in a Bnei Sakhnin shirt” and expects him to contribute with his experience and ability.
Earlier on Saturday, Sakhnin also announced a major change in its management. After Muhammad Abu Younes decided to step down after 15 years in the role, Khaled Douchi, who served for many years as the club’s CEO, will become chairman. The club said the move followed “a deep, serious and responsible discussion” aimed at ensuring the club’s continuity and future, and said Douchi will lead efforts to advance, strengthen and succeed across all areas.
