Man Charged for Rosh Hashanah Cafe Break-In and Theft in Tel Aviv

Tel Aviv District Prosecution unit has filed an indictment against a 39-year-old resident of Ramat Gan for allegedly breaking into a cafe in central Tel Aviv during the Rosh Hashanah holiday. The suspect was apprehended shortly after the incident, still in the vicinity. A request has also been filed to detain him until the end of legal proceedings.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on September 13, during the Rosh Hashanah holiday. At night, a report was received about a break-in at a cafe in a commercial center in central Tel Aviv. The suspect is accused of kicking the cafe's wooden door, breaking its frame, entering the premises, and stealing approximately 700 shekels in cash along with other property.

Following the report, officers from the Lev Tel Aviv station in the Yarkon area began collecting evidence and actively searching for the suspect's identity. Forensic investigators from Yarkon arrived at the scene and gathered evidence. With the assistance of patrol officers from the Tel Aviv-Yafo municipality's SALA unit, the suspect was located and arrested shortly after the event.

The Ramat Gan resident was taken for questioning at the police station, where he was interrogated about his actions. Upon completion of the investigation, the prosecution filed the indictment, which includes charges of breaking and entering and theft. Police noted that in similar cases of nighttime business break-ins, immediate action is taken to locate and prosecute suspects, and the cooperation between station officers and municipal patrol officers led to this swift arrest.
