Top Israeli Crime Boss Extradited from US to Face Charges
Eran Haya, identified as one of Israel's most powerful crime bosses, is set to be extradited from the United States to Israel in the coming days. A New York court approved Israel Police's request to deport Haya on Wednesday, according to Channel 12 News. Haya has been wanted by Israeli authorities for a long time in connection with several offenses and is currently detained in a U.S. prison.
The primary suspicion against Haya involves an attempted assassination of Eli Mosli using a large explosive device in central Israel. This attempt was thwarted at the last moment. Following the incident, the Tel Aviv District Police succeeded in recruiting an state's witness from within Haya's organization. This witness allegedly implicated Haya as the mastermind behind the plot to harm Mosli.
