Israeli PlantTech Startup PlanTeyah Closes Following US Parent Company's Collapse

Israeli startup PlanTeyah, which specialized in plant improvement technologies, has announced its closure due to the failure of its American parent company, 80 Acres Farms. PlanTeyah was acquired by 80 Acres Farms approximately two years ago. The collapse of the parent company effectively cut off funding and operational capabilities for the Israeli subsidiary, leading to its shutdown.

The company focused on developing technologies for the "enrichment" and selective improvement of agricultural crops. The head of the Israeli division stated, "We were able to do things that had not been done before in the world, but startups sometimes run out of money before realizing all their plans."
