Hanoch Daum Calls to Disavow Extremist Settler Youth

In a special episode of his show "Life is a Difficult Period" on Channel 12, Israeli commentator Hanoch Daum visited the "Giv'ot" (outposts) and met with their young residents. Daum, who identifies as a settler himself, presented various aspects of the youth, but strongly condemned the extremist fringe among them.

Daum emphasized that the majority of settlers are law-abiding citizens who serve in the reserves and pay taxes. He stated, "This tiny, anarchist, extremist minority, this is not who we are. They do not represent us." He urged the settler community to distance themselves from this group, quoting the biblical phrase "and you shall purge the evil from your midst." Daum explained that this disavowal is necessary not only because of the "terrible and awful things" the extremists do, but also because they damage the reputation of the broader settler population.

Daum concluded that the extremist youth's actions are harmful and that the settler community must actively reject them to maintain their own standing and identity.
