West Ham Eliminated From League Cup After 3-2 Loss to Fulham

West Ham United was eliminated from the English League Cup in the third round on Tuesday, suffering a 3-2 defeat at home against fellow Premier League side Fulham. Israeli winger Manor Solomon played 39 minutes in the match. Solomon, who had a goal and an assist in West Ham's previous 6-0 victory, was part of a wide rotation and entered the game in the 51st minute when the score was tied 2-2.

Despite several promising actions from Solomon, none resulted in a goal. He had a significant opportunity on a counter-attack, but his shot was blocked for a corner. Fulham secured their victory in the 77th minute when Alex Iwobi scored with a powerful shot from inside the box. Armando Broja also missed a late chance for Fulham, and Taty Castellanos missed a close-range opportunity for West Ham.

Fulham initially took the lead in the 13th minute through Rodrigo Muniz, but Morato quickly equalized for West Ham three minutes later. Cesar Palacios put Fulham ahead again in the 37th minute, only for Pablo Fornals to level the score at 2-2 just before halftime. Ultimately, Iwobi's late goal proved decisive, securing a first win for Fulham's manager, Alvaro Arbeloa.

Fulham currently sits 18th in the Premier League standings with one draw and three losses. West Ham, who are leading the Championship (England's second division) with 14 points after seven matches, will return to league play on Saturday, hosting Millwall.
