Teenager Stabbed in Ashdod, Police Investigate Criminal Motive

A 17-year-old boy was critically injured in a stabbing incident on Mivtza Barak Street in Ashdod late Tuesday night. Police have launched an investigation, with the motive believed to be criminal. Paramedics treated the teenager at the scene for penetrating wounds before transporting him to Assuta Hospital in the city. "When we arrived at the scene, the teenager was lying on the ground suffering from penetrating injuries to his body after being involved in a violent incident," said paramedic Shiran Kaykov and medics Shimon Liff and Moshe Yifrach. They added, "We provided him with initial medical treatment, including stopping the bleeding and administering medication, and evacuated him in an MDA intensive care unit to the hospital in serious but stable condition, fully conscious."

The stabbing follows a series of violent incidents across Israel. Earlier, a 28-year-old man was shot and killed in Jaffa, and police arrested a suspect in his early twenties. On Sunday night, a 22-year-old woman was seriously wounded by gunfire in Umm al-Fahm. The previous day, police began investigating a suspected triple murder in the Sharon region after three young men from Jaljulia, cousins aged 16, 20, and 22, were found dead in a burning car near Baqa al-Gharbiyya. Approximately two weeks prior, two men in their thirties were murdered in Jaffa within 48 hours. One victim, Hamad Abd Shukra, was found critically injured and later died at Wolfson Hospital. Two days later, another man from Jaljulia was killed in Jaffa, and a young man in his early twenties was seriously injured in the same shooting incident.
