Motorcyclist Critically Injured After Collision With Truck on Highway 20
A motorcyclist, approximately 30 years old, sustained severe injuries after being struck by a truck on Highway 20 southbound, near the community of Rishpon. Emergency medical services (Magen David Adom, MDA) were dispatched to the scene at 3:28 PM following a report to their 101 emergency hotline.
Paramedics and EMTs arrived to find the motorcyclist lying on the side of the road with clouded consciousness and suffering from multiple systemic injuries. They provided life-saving treatment, including stopping bleeding, administering medication, and ventilating the patient.
The injured rider was then evacuated to Meir Hospital in critical and unstable condition, sedated and on a respirator. MDA described the treatment and evacuation process, emphasizing the severity of the injuries and the patient's unstable state.
