Oct. 7 Survivors Release Report Blaming Leadership for Massacre

Survivors and bereaved families of the October 7th Hamas attacks have released a report, dubbed "File 7.10," detailing their investigation into the government's conduct leading up to the massacre. The report concludes that those responsible for the failures that led to the attack should not continue to lead the country.

Among the most vocal critics is Shelly Meshel-Yogev, mother of Libi Cohen-Meguri, who was killed at the Nova music festival. She directly addressed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, referencing his promise to answer difficult questions after the war. "A week before the massacre, Ronen Bar recommended you eliminate Sinwar. If you had listened, Libi would be here," Meshel-Yogev stated, implying that Netanyahu's inaction or disregard for intelligence led to her daughter's death.

Meirav Svirsky, whose parents Orit and Rafi were murdered in Kibbutz Be'eri and whose brother Itai was kidnapped and killed in Hamas captivity, echoed the sentiment. "It cannot be that those who led us to the massacre will continue to manage," she declared, emphasizing the demand for accountability from the highest levels of leadership.
