Israel Faces 'Eighth Front' of Propaganda War, Warns Analyst

Lassri questions the origins of the testimonies, the potential use of leaked classified information, and the funding behind such productions, suggesting some Israelis may be cooperating with enemy propaganda.

The IDF Chief of Staff's decision to examine the film, investigate potential leaks of classified material, and establish a multi-organizational team to counter false narratives against the IDF is seen as a necessary first step. However, Lassri insists that if classified security information was transferred or if activities aimed at aiding enemy propaganda occurred during wartime, law enforcement must act decisively.

Lassri advocates for a proactive national system for intelligence and counter-propaganda, operating under the Prime Minister's Office, to identify and thwart disinformation campaigns. He also calls for greater national responsibility from the political system and media, noting that irresponsible statements from former officials or unverified claims in domestic media can be weaponized by Israel's adversaries in international forums and courts.

Ultimately, Lassri urges Israel to move from a defensive posture to an offensive one in the information war, emphasizing that winning on the battlefield is insufficient if the war for legitimacy is lost. He calls for unity across the political spectrum to combat false narratives and protect national security.
