Israeli Arab Community Leader Warns of Normalization of Crime

Sheikh Khairy Iskandar, head of the Civil Peace Committee in Israel's Triangle region, has issued a stark warning about the growing normalization of crime and violence within the Arab community. He stated that society is increasingly accepting criminal acts as a routine part of daily life, a trend he described as dangerous.

In an interview with Panet news and Hala TV, Iskandar emphasized that the true danger lies not just in the occurrence of crimes, but in their gradual transformation into commonplace events. This normalization, he explained, leads to a societal erosion of rejection and condemnation towards such acts.

Iskandar urged against succumbing to this reality, calling for efforts to enhance societal awareness and actively confront violence and crime. He stressed the urgency of this action before the loss of life becomes an accepted occurrence, devoid of the shock and outrage it once provoked.
