Hapoel Tel Aviv's aspirations for the upcoming EuroLeague season, including reaching the Final Four, are heavily dependent on the performance of point guard Vasilije Micic. The Serbian player, who joined the team last summer after a brief stint in the NBA, faced criticism last season for inconsistent play.

According to BasketNews, Micic, one of the highest earners in the EuroLeague, must elevate his game significantly beyond last season's standards. While Hapoel reached the EuroLeague playoffs in their first season with Micic, his individual performance was marked by ups and downs, often appearing to lack his characteristic spark.

Micic's resume suggests he has the potential to help coach Dimitris Itoudis's team compete for the championship. However, the key question remains whether he can deliver consistent performances throughout the season. His success, and by extension Hapoel's, is considered to be largely reliant on his on-court abilities.

Last season, Micic played 40 games for Hapoel Tel Aviv, averaging 11.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 4.2 assists. His return to the EuroLeague followed a three-year absence.
