Former Reality Show Winner Shares Yom Kippur Meal Recipes
Oshrit Navra, a writer, social activist, and food content creator who won the Israeli reality cooking show "B'o le'echol iti" (Come Eat With Me), has shared three recipes designed for the pre-fast meal before Yom Kippur. The dishes aim to be filling and comforting, helping individuals observe the upcoming Day of Atonement with ease.
The featured recipes include fish cakes with salmon, stuffed chicken with rice and honey apples, and a fig crumble. Navra, who is also known for her social activism, has adapted these recipes to be kosher and, in some cases, vegan or dairy.
Preparation times vary, with the fish cakes taking approximately 45 minutes total, the stuffed chicken 60 minutes, and the fig crumble 50 minutes. All recipes are described as easy to prepare, with minimal active cooking time, making them accessible for those preparing for the solemn fast day.
