Gaza Captive Survivor: 'No Innocent People in Gaza'

Elia Cohen, who survived captivity in Gaza, shared a harrowing account of his experiences during an interview with broadcaster Sharon Gal, detailing his observations of the civilian population during the October 7th attacks and his time held hostage.

Cohen stated his firm belief that there are no innocent civilians in Gaza, asserting that he witnessed widespread celebration among residents, from ages three to eighty, during his abduction and the atrocities committed against his friends. "No matter how much they try to prove to me, they won't succeed in justifying that every person there from age 3 to age 80 celebrated the moment they kidnapped me, beheaded my friends, and raped my girlfriends," Cohen said.

He recounted specific incidents that left a lasting impression, including an encounter with a woman who hit him with a slipper upon his entry into Gaza and a five-year-old child who struck him on the head with a brick. Cohen expressed his disbelief that these individuals could be considered innocent.

Cohen concluded by emphasizing that his direct experiences and the sights he witnessed in Gaza have solidified his resolute stance on the matter. "Sorry, no one will succeed in convincing me. I saw it with my own eyes," he declared.
