Police Unit Fighters Tell National Security Minister Ben-Gvir: 'Don't Come Here Anymore'

Fighters from the Gideonim Unit in Lahav 433 have reportedly told Police Commissioner Danny Levi not to bring National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir to visit their unit again, citing harsh living conditions. The unit members expressed their frustration, stating, "Don't bring the minister here anymore." The core of their anger stems from the inadequate living conditions and the prolonged delay in renovating a building intended for the unit. According to the fighters, after completing operational activities, they are forced to sleep in a club or a tent instead of a proper facility.

The dispute arises amid ongoing disagreements between Minister Ben-Gvir and the Police Commissioner regarding budget issues, including the treatment of police officers' conditions. The Gideonim fighters feel a significant disconnect between their demanding operational tasks and the poor living conditions they return to, which has reached a boiling point. The Gideonim Unit, an operational force within Lahav 433, handles complex and sensitive missions in the fight against crime and organized crime.

Despite the critical nature of their work, the fighters are frustrated that their designated building has not yet been prepared. They are directing their anger towards the Ministry of National Security, headed by Ben-Gvir. A response from Minister Ben-Gvir's office stated that he is working to advance the treatment of the police's conditions and needs.
