Hostage Survivor Liri Belag Slams "Incidental Damage" Film Creators

Liri Belag, a former hostage released by Hamas, has sharply criticized Yuval Avraham, one of the creators of the film "Incidental Damage." Belag posted on Instagram that Avraham, who reportedly served only two weeks in the army before being discharged for political reasons, would still be considered a soldier by Hamas if captured. She argued that such individuals, who she believes tarnish Israel's image abroad, are betraying their own people.

Belag expressed disgust at what she perceives as the attitude of some Israeli creators and activists towards IDF soldiers and the Israeli public. She stated, "We absolutely do not share the same blood. And thank God. Ugh, disgusting, you sold your people for people who wish for your death. And for that, there is no forgiveness." She concluded by calling for such individuals to be expelled from Israel.

The controversy surrounding "Incidental Damage" stems from its alleged portrayal of IDF soldiers and Israel's actions during the war, which critics deem damaging to the country's reputation. A police complaint has reportedly been filed against the film.
