IDF casualty officers arrived overnight at the home of the Habshush family in the settlement of Adam to deliver the news that their son, IDF soldier Noa Habshush, had been killed during intense fighting and complex operations in southern Lebanon against Hezbollah terror infrastructure.
Habshush was killed in the same incident that also claimed the life of 52nd Battalion commander in the Armored Corps, Dor Ben Shimon, and two other soldiers whose names have not yet been cleared for publication.
This morning, his father, Haim Habshush, published an emotional post telling friends and relatives: "Dear friends, IDF officers came to inform us last night of the bitter news of all. Our sweet and dear son Noa was killed last night in Lebanon." He later added that the family wants Israelis to keep going out and maintaining routine, especially weekend outings.
"We would be very happy to see everyone continue to go on trips and try to keep normal life as much as possible," he wrote, explaining that this was the belief for which his son fell. "Noa fell so that we can continue living in this country, safely, happily and calmly." The family said the funeral has not yet been finalized because of operational constraints, and details will be announced later. Haim Habshush ended his message with, "I love you all."
