AI Center Head Departs Bank Leumi After Brief Tenure
Amir Rosen, who was appointed head of Bank Leumi's Artificial Intelligence (AI) center in December, has resigned from his position after only a few months. Rosen had previously served as head of the banking products division within the bank's technology division.
His move to lead the AI center was part of a broader restructuring announced nine months prior, aimed at accelerating the bank's AI revolution and technological transformation. This restructuring also saw the division of the technology division into two: Nir Omer was appointed head of Cyber and Infrastructure, and Shai Bar Or became head of Technology Development. At that time, the AI center was established directly under CEO Hanan Friedman, with Rosen appointed as its head.
During his tenure, Rosen transitioned to managing the AI unit, with two senior managers from elite military intelligence units appointed above him. His departure comes shortly after these appointments and follows a period of significant changes within the bank's leadership.
Rosen's exit coincides with another senior departure: Tzachi Artzi, head of the construction and real estate division in Bank Leumi's business division, has also left the bank. Artzi, who has approximately 25 years of experience and held positions on credit committees, is moving to manage the company Navoi Group.
