A heartbreaking case in Bnei Brak: baby Noya Goldreich, just two and a half weeks old, died after her parents waited nine years for a child since their marriage. Despite many people praying for Noya bat Ruth, she died at Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer.
Her parents, Nati Goldreich, a volunteer and charity worker with MDA and Yedidim, and his wife Ruth, accepted the loss quietly and with faith. The father wrote, “Thank you very, very much to everyone who prayed, studied and gave charity. I appreciate each person personally. Unfortunately, God gave and God took, may the name of God be blessed.”
Her mother wrote, “God gave, God took, blessed be the name of God. We accept with love, believe with faith and thank Him for every breath. My Noyush, I will always remember that you made me a mother.”
Goldreich is the son of Rabbi David Avraham Goldreich, the grandson of the renowned Rabbi David Chaim Stern, and the great-grandson of Rabbi Chaim Moshe Mendel, whose yahrzeit fell on the same day. Noya, his great-granddaughter, died on that date. She was buried in a ceremony attended only by immediate family.
